As a member of the german heer KSK Division, I am glad that they are showing this. People, this is depicting war. War isn't pretty. Wake up and smell the coffee. Innocent people die in war. Thats why it is called war. If it wasn't they would called it happy fun time where everybody shakes hands before and after a invasion. And isn't video-games supposed to portray the person you are playing as. Bravo IW. Please make it as brutal as possible. I want children to see this and do something besides join the army when they get older, Unlike me. i was the kind of child who played as a sniper who killed Nazi's and wanted to do that my whole life. I was bumfuck Afghanistan for four years, and didn't get to see my daughter for her first three birthdays.

I bet the toughest decision you stupid whining bitches ever had to make is if you want a coke or pepsi...i might be the only person on this goddamn page who has seen the full video where the soldier is decapitated on iraqi television. I want this game shoved in our face and to show the youth what real war is. Im so sick and goddam tired of little kids who want to go kill. Listen i might be the only person on this page who has killed multiple men, and trust me, little kids reading this, That is something that you cannot take back and that is something that you does not leave your mind. No one is the "Good guy" or "Bad guy" in war. Everyone kills, everyone takes life away from another person, and kills a people that someone loved like a brother or a father or son. Hell if this game came out four years ago, i might have actually not joined the military.

P.S if anyone is worried about their sons or daughters shooting up a school or airport, Don't by them this game and shelter them and baby them their whole fucking life. Trust me, If any little Fuckers tries shooting up my airport, i promise you that the german special forces will drop those little bastards like a bad girlfriend

So you say that if you would have given a task - as a secret agent posing as a terrorist, in order not to blow your cover - to kill a couple hundred innocent people, you would do it? Or you would not? As you have been to real war?

And then again, you would WANT your child to go through this - though virtually - in a computer game?

Once again, what you see in that level of the game is not "war". It is a mindless scripted sequence that MAKES you act as a bad guy. A very bad guy that is - your victims are not even trying to retaliate and you are supposed to "shoot" even those that are shown trying to save the others. You cannot make a different choice - I am pretty sure that if instead of carnaging the innocents you would try to kill your "partners" you would never progress to the next level. Where is "teaching that the war is bad" in that? Where is the fun at least?

I have also seen the decapitation video. Believe me, that somehow did not make me want to play MW2.

All of your reasoning slips my mind. Altogether. I admit it. Perhaps because I am not a teenager anymore and I have two kids myself. Perhaps because the terrorist threat is all-too-real in my country. No, it is not USA or Britain.

Why should scenes like this never be in a video game? It's no different to any other game in which you kill innocent people, GTA is the perfect example.

If anything, at least it's topical. Whenever people go to an airport, they worry about terrorists. This game is simply buying into popular fears.

Look, I do agree that with a senseless intent, this would probably be obscene, but the companies have both come out and stated the purpose of this mission which you can read on their website, but in reality. This puts HUGE perspective on what your not only fighting in the game but what true horrors are in the world today. Puhleeeeease! GTA is a game where you assume the role of a comic book type anti-hero. "It says so right there on the cover". In MW2 you are supposedly the good guy. The anti-terrorist dogooder. The one, who, however, thinks it is OK to massacre a bunch of civilians. For the greater good, nonetheless.

I do not play GTA - I do not care about "bad guy" games. But I do not object - they told us the game will be about the bad guys, so I make an educated decision not to buy that product. Fair is fair. Same with Postal - I know what it is about and I choose not to play it.

However if I want to play the "good guy" side, I do not expect the game to offer me a mission of a mass murderer. MW2 does, however.

Listen, I was in Afghanistan for four years. I have seen shit go down. And trust me when i say this, no one is a "good guy" in war. Everyone kills, Everyone loses a family member that they loved. When i returned home after my tour, my daughter didn't even know who I was. I missed four of my son's birthdays. War is hell. That is why it is called war. Its not called happy fun time, where we shake everyones hand before we shoot plastic bullets at each other.

Now if you don't want your child to see this, I understand, but im buying this for my son for the first day. you know why? I want him to see what war is really like. Not like W@W where there are fucking Nazi Zombies. I want him to choose another path besides military, unlike what i did. I was raised with a single mother, and when she wasn't home, i would play video games, most first person shooters like call of duty and medal of honor, and for the longest time, i wanted to join up and fight for my country.I did, and i regret it. If anyone is reading this, Get this game for a child that wants to join the military, and force him to play it. Show him/her what real war is like.

You do not know who I am. I come from a land where 900 innocent civillians went to a night performance of a musical and over 150 never returned home. Thanks to the terrorists and clumsy actions of the authorities. That had actually happened almost in my back yard - I live close to that theatre. I come from a land where over 330 - out of which 180 were children - never returned from their first day in school. Also thanks to the terrorists.

I suggest you go and explain that war is hell to the relatives of all those people. I suggest you buy several hundred of MW2 games and distribute them among the relatives of those who died because of the terrorists - the real ones that knock on your door, not the ones that threaten someone else in another hemisphere.

Yes, you are right, I cannot understand how mowing civillians that do not even respond to you in a computer game (in co-op mode as well, probably) will make mine you your children understand the horrors of war. This somehow slips my mind.

Well if you want to play the game as "the good side" then need no fear. You can skip the level! Infinity Ward implemented a way to skip the level without playing because it was deemed not fit for all. So stfu... Play the game.

As for me SHOOOOOOT the civi's! WOOT hope they give you a pistol in the level to so you can take out knee caps!
