Tribble Ad Agency: Newspapers get bailout money for “internet training”

I'm in sort of an opposite situation. My bosses are buying me a "CMS System" [sic] which will allow me to do things like "add content" and "post links".

I've been told that WP is too "Open Source". I suggested to our agency "internet" department that we would be happy to have them create a Theme for us which we would distribute to the world. They would enjoy a nice link in our footer. No charge of course.

You can imagine the mental stakes they were driving into my heart at that meeting. Lucky for them, the forces in charge still consider me "the weird tech guy" who may as well be wearing a tinfoil hat. So I will get a Rolls Royce with a Yugo engine instead.

"too Open Source" --- huh? Are you kidding me? "Too Open Source" .. perhaps that is why it's the most highly adopted blogging format? Because it IS open source and people can modify what they need to get it to work for their business needs.
